Annual Plan 2025 - 26
- Introduction
The Annual Plan for the financial year 2025-26 gives special importance to social welfare, housing construction, drinking water, sanitation, women and child development, welfare of persons with disabilities, the agriculture and animal husbandry sector, and the development of public administrative facilities.
- Housing Construction and Basic Living Facilities
The largest allocation in the plan has been earmarked for the LIFE Housing Scheme.
• LIFE Housing Scheme (General) – ₹4.00 crore
• LIFE Housing Scheme (SCP) – ₹2.00 crore
• Construction of Individual Household Toilets
• Complementary projects for Jal Jeevan Mission beneficiaries
This will benefit homeless people and families with inadequate housing facilities.
- Women and Child Development Sector
Special consideration has been given to the Anganwadi sector.
• Provision of nutritious food at Anganwadis
• Purchase of toys and equipment for Anganwadis
• Various assistance for Anganwadi staff
• Infrastructure development in Anganwadis
• Arts and sports festivals for children
This is beneficial for child welfare and nutritional security.
- Welfare of Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens
The major welfare activities included in the plan are:
• Scholarships for persons with disabilities
• Assistive devices for persons with disabilities
• Arts and sports festivals for persons with disabilities
• Distribution of cots to senior citizens
These are noteworthy interventions in the social security sector.
- Health and Sanitation
Several projects have been included in the health and sanitation sector.
• Purchase of medicines for the Ayurveda Hospital
• Cleaning of public places
• Purchase of waste disposal vehicles
• Strengthening of waste management systems
These are helpful in improving public health and creating a clean village.
- Public Administration and Digital Facilities
In order to increase the administrative efficiency of the Panchayat:
• Purchase of computers and allied equipment for the Panchayat Office
• Electrification works
• Improvement of network systems
• Hall furnishing
• Installation of UPS
• ISO certification activities
have been allocated project funds.
- Education and Social Development
• Infrastructure development in schools
• Projects such as Vidyajyothi and Vijnana Kerala
• Strengthening of Jagratha Samithi
• Strengthening of Grama Sabha activities
have been included in the plan.
- Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Sector
• Subsidy for milk
• Equipment for Haritha Karma Sena members
• Other agriculture-related projects
These are measures aimed at strengthening the rural economy.
- Evaluation
The 2025-26 Annual Plan is a people-oriented development plan that gives the highest priority to social welfare and the housing sector. The LIFE Housing Scheme, Anganwadi development, welfare of persons with disabilities, sanitation, and development of digital governance systems are the major features of the plan. The plan is assessed to be aimed at improving the basic standard of living and ensuring inclusive development.
